Here is a guide to the main ski areas and resorts we cover:

The World famous Chamonix Valley spans 16 kilometres and has numerous resorts:

The most important are Chamonix, Les Houches, Argentiere and Vallorcine with Courmayeur part of the Valley on the Italian side.

Nestled amongst some of the highest mountain peaks in the Alps, including the famous Mont Blanc massif (4,810 metres), amazing views in the Chamonix Valley are never hard to come by.

One of the oldest and most established ski areas in the world, the Chamonix Valley offers a massive amount of choice for skiers and non skiers alike - including:

Chamonix offers something for everyone from winter to summer sports, luxury to bargain basement and a very cosmopolitan crowd. We love Chamonix at GVA Transfers.

A very little known but huge ski area. The reason for this is because the resorts that are within this area tend to advertise themselves separately.

The main resorts are Megeve, St Gervais, Les Contamines, Combloux and Le Bettex.

The Evasion Mont Blanc ski pass covers the following areas: Rochebrune, Cote 2000, Mont-d'Arbois, Jaillet, La Giettaz, Saint-Gervais, Saint-Nicolas de Véroce, Combloux, Les Contamines and Cordon  providing 445 km (276 miles) of pistes which are serviced by 107 skilifts.

Between these you will be able to find a resort to suit almost every person and pocket. From the uber rich clientele of Megeve to the family friendly resort of Les Contamines – there is something for everyone.

If you like the small and local feel to skiing then we recommend this ski area.

Transfer Time circa 1hr 30 mins.

This is the 4th biggest ski area in France, and is situated right in between Les Portes du Soleil and Chamonix, Due to its proximity to Geneva Airport the Resorts of Le Grand Massif have become a great choice for holiday makers. Prices are still exceptionally good value in this ski area and waiting times at the ski lifts is often shorter than some of the well know ski resorts.

This ski area includes the resorts of FLAINE, LES CARROZ, MORILLION, SIXT FER A CHEVAL and SAMOENS.

All of the 5 resorts within Le Grand Massif are fully linked, come all on one ski pass, and offer:

Transfer Time circa 1hr 30 mins

The Three Valleys ski area should be on every skier and snowboarders to do list. One of the worlds biggest ski areas is made up eight separate but linked ski resorts

These Include Meribel, Mottaret, Couchevel, La Tania and Val Thorens.

Meribel sits in the heart of the Three Valleys and is renowned for its night life, but also has great off piste and the best snow park in the area.

Mottaret in the same valley as Meribel gives access to the same ski area, with a slightly quieter atmosphere.

La Tania is a great all rounder with tame wide pistes for beginners but also a pretty good nightlife giving it something for all.

The exclusive Courchevel is the favoured hang out for the rich and famous, but also has some great runs for all abilities.

Val Thorens is the highest resort in France and offers some great ski in/ski out opportunities.

Transfer times circa 2hrs 40 mins

The two main resorts that comprise this area are the world famous Val d'Isere and Tignes.

Val d'Isere, as you would expect of a village dating back to Roman times is definitely the prettier of the two resorts, with a centre dominated by the seventeenth century church.

The more modern areas of the town have been carefully built to blend in with these historical buildings. However, don't let the old world charm deceive, Val d'Isere has some of the best après and nightlife in the alps!

Tignes in contrast is much more modern, the original town having been sacrificed beneath the reservoir in the valley below the 'new' Tignes.

Both resorts offer tons of interconnected slopes, great nightlife and an abundance of tourists- who appreciate this area!

Transfer time: 3hrs from Geneva Airport

Our most poular Swiss ski resorts include:

Crans Montana, Saas Fees, Zermatt, Villars and Gstaad.

All resorts offer great skiing  and a cosmopolitan crowd. Prices in these resorts match the clientele. Nightlife is vibrant and chic. Here at GVA we love all that is Swiss!!!

Transfer times range from 1hrs 30 mins to 3 hours
