  • Stop on the banks of Lake Thun for a light refreshment.
  • Return to Geneva.

INTERLAKEN

Explore the historic town in the Jungfrau region of Switzerland. Charming Interlaken has horse-drawn carriages, town square, impressive architecture and lovely promenade alongside the lake. The area is overlooked by world famous peaks of the Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau to make you truly feel like you are in the Alps.

Interlaken is an ideal starting point for countless excursions. Over 45 mountain railways, cable cars, chair lifts and ski lifts lead to 200 kilometers of pistes and a dense network of hiking trails. Excursion ships, including historic paddle steamers, ply the waters of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz.

 

SCHILTHORN CABLE CAR & MOUNTAIN VIEW

The Schilthorn Cable Way, made famous by the James Bond Movie 'On Her Majesty’s Secret Service', and is, of course, home to the world’s longest aerial cable-car system.

Here, marvel at the most stirring, panoramic views in Switzerland with over 200 mountain peaks and endless glaciers and lakes.

You can explore the interactive James Bond exhibition and for those brave enough, you can take the Sky Line Walk, a footbridge suspended at 2,970m giving the most incredible views.

 

LAKE THUN

The small town of Thun, at the western end of the lake with the same name, is the gateway to the Bernese Oberland. It boasts a medieval Old Town, a mighty castle and an attractive pedestrian zone. Lake boats sail Lake Thun all year round. In summer magnificently restored historic paddle steamers ply the lake, all overlooked by the stunning mountain peaks above.
