Val Thorens dramatic location places tourists in the perfect position for breath-taking 360 degrees of the surrounding peaks. The excellent high-speed lift network gives easy access to a fantastic variety of skiing from expert to beginner. In addition to the vast amounts of piste skiing, there are world-renowned snow parks that often host slopestyle events and a ski cross arena where the FIS Skier X World Cup is held.

Les Trois Vallées is renowned all over the world; the area delivers on all levels with 600kms of connected runs and over 180 ski-lifts across the resorts of La Tania, Méribel, Brides-les-Bains, Courchevel, Les Menuires, Val Thorens, St Martin de Belleville and Orelle.

The Après ski scene here is also legendary; there are plenty of bars on offer, but at least one visit to La Folie Douce should be on the agenda. It’s pretty hard to miss if you take the Plein Sud lift in the afternoon. Booming DJ’s and flowing drinks all on a sun drenched terrace make its reputation as one of the best Après spots in the world.
